How works Reserva Brasil?
            
Reserva Brasil is made of an infinite number of members who have different functions within the institution

Reserva Brasil has no preconceived ideas
and suffers no discrimination principles associated to sex, colour, race, religious beliefs, social class, nationality, or political.
   
 
   
 What are the different member’s categories available?

Founding Members: physical persons who participated in the Reserva Brasil’s foundation General Assembly and who has signed the Foundation Deed, who can vote as long as he has paid his annual fees;
         
Executive Members: physical persons, suggested by at least a founding member or an executive member and discussed in General Assembly, who can vote as long as he has paid his annual fees;
           
Colaborating Members: physical persons or corporate bodies contributing with funds, and exempt from paying annual fees;
       
Researcher Members: physical persons, aproved by the Research Department, developing projects, providing services, contributing or directly supporting any action from Reserva Brasil, having paid their annual fees and contributing with 5% of their projects’ overall funding using the name of Reserva Brasil as affiliated institution;
           
Honorary Members: physical persons having relevantly helped the society, invited by the Steering Committee to join the institution, exempt from paying annual fees;
         
Institutional Members: Corporate bodies and entities from the Services Sector, represented by a physical person nominated as legal representative, establishing partnerships or projects in collaboration with Reserva Brasil, exempt from paying annual fees;
           
Volunteering Members: physical persons providing punctual volunteer services for Reserva Brasil for its activities, exempt from paying annual fees;
           
Sponsor Members: Corporate bodies, represented by a physical person nominated as its legal representative, providing funding for the Reserva Brasil’s activities, punctually or periodically, exempt from paying annual fees;
             
Web Members: Corporate bodies or physical persons that registered though the Reserva Brasil’s official website, exempt from paying annual fees;
           
Beneficiary Members: physical persons or corporate bodies who receive freely from the Reserva Brasil’s own benefits, exempt from paying annual fees.
             
   
 What are my rights as a RB member?
           
a) Take part in debates in Assemblies;

b) Submit suggestions, claims or requests against any action of the Steering Committee, or the Fiscal Committee or the Executive Secretary;
c) Call in General Assembly through a written request signed by 1/5 of the members of full enjoyment of their rights;
d) Have access to the RB’s activities and infrastructures, along with the enjoyment of the institution’s benefits;
e) Vote for whichever member’s status, according to the above described member’s categories.
   
 
  What are my duties as a RB member?

a) Respect and make the others respect the Chart;
b) Advertise and defend Reserva Brasil, struggling for its growth; 
c) Be careful to the proper use of the name of the institution Reserva Brasil, defend the heritage, interest and common goods;
d) Punctually honour with fees according to the assigned member’s category; 
e) Agree with the Steering Committee’s decisions and Assemblies;
f) Participate in the General Assemblies;
g) Denounce to the Steering Committee, to the Fiscal Committee, or at the General Assembly whatever offence within the Reserva Brasil’s structure, so as to solve the problem during the General Assembly; 
h) Suggest, support, act, divulge through events, programs and socio-environmental or conservationist proposals through Reserva Brasil.

 
 
 What are the reasons of exclusion for a member of the association?           
a) Violation of the Charter, doubtful behaviour, illegal or immoral acts;
b) Defame the association, its members or associates;
c) Conduct activities against the decisions taken in assemblies;
d) Quit voluntarily;
e) Accept responsibilities or functions incompatible with the member current activity;   
f) Unpaid annual fees.

When a member is excluded from the association, he is allowed to defend himself during the next General Assembly.

The member who has been excluded because of unpaid fees will have his rights immediately suspended three month after the due date of the annual fee or semi-annual payments. He will be allowed to reintegrate after having paid to the Association’s Treasurer.

           
       
Attention!

The delay available for the member to recover his debts is equal to the time he stayed without paying his fees.

In the case the member has been excluded because he was overloaded with projects, programs, Departments or subsidiary companies, his rights will be maintained or suspended according to the Steering Committee’s decision.

In the case the member was penalized for discrediting the project he is involved in, he will be suspend immediately and if the latter is the project coordinator, his responsibilities will be passed on someone else indicated by the Steering Committee.
