   Historical:

Reserva Brasil is born from the will of a bunch of students from the Biological Science Faculty of the Center of Medical and Biological Sciences (CCMB) of the Catholic University of São Paulo, on Sorocaba campus. These students were from different classrooms but shared the same conservation objectives. So they gathered up and created an association of the Services Sector with socio- environmental and conservationist values.

Reserva Brasil’s first deed was accepted during the Founding Assembly on 16/05/2000 and legally recognized by the 8º. Civil List of Juridical Persons in São Paulo on 02/12/2002 according to the article nº 4200. It was then modified on 17/12/2003 and registered on 22/03/2005 according to the article nº 8096. On 15/08/2004 the latest version of it was registered on 08/02/2006 according to the article nº 9667 (Deed). Changes may be found in General Assemblies Acts.

Reserva Brasil is now 7 years old. It has developed projects related to its socio-environmental and conservationist values. Reserva Brasil obtained
from the Brazilian Justice Ministery a qualification called "Organização da Sociedade Civil de Interesse Público" (OSCIP). It was published in 03/08/2007 at Diário Oficial da União, Seção 1, n. 149, pg 21.
